Man, 25, fatally shot in Williamsburg

WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn — A 25-year-old man was fatally shot Saturday morning in Brooklyn.

Police were called to Woodhull Hospital around 6 a.m. after receiving a call about a gunshot victim being transported to the hospital.

According to police, the victim was dropped off at the hospital with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

A preliminary investigation found that the shooting happened at the intersection of South 9th Street and Berry Street in Williamsburg around 5:50 a.m.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending family notification.

No arrests have been made.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.
