Search underway for suspect in Stamford hotel shooting that injured 2

STAMFORD, Conn. — Police are working to identify two people connected to a shooting outside of a Stamford hotel that left two people injured Saturday morning.

Stamford Police posted surveillance video to YouTube Wednesday from the shooting behind the La Quinta Inn on Harvard Avenue.

Police say around 1:30 a.m., the suspect approached a group of men standing behind the hotel. He's seen on surveillance video pulling out a handgun and firing several shots.

The suspect is then seen fleeing the scene towards the entrance of the hotel with another man.

Two people were struck by gunfire but are expected to survive.

Anyone with information about the shooter or his alleged accomplice is urged to call the Stamford Police detective bureau at 203-977-4417.
