EAST ISLIP, N.Y. — Police say a woman has been killed after a three-car crash on Long Island.

It happened shortly before noon Saturday in East Islip.

Suffolk County police say 62-year-old Maureen Bodkin, of Islip, was killed after her van was struck by another car and then overturned several times. Investigators say the force of the collision also caused Bodkin’s van to strike another car that was stopped at a traffic light before it rolled over.

Police say the driver of the car that struck Bodkin was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. They say the other driver wasn’t injured.

Police say they are continuing to investigate the collision.
