Boy, 4, dies after falling down parking garage elevator shaft

PARK SLOPE, Brooklyn — A 4-year-old has died from injuries he suffered when he fell down an elevator shaft at a Brooklyn parking garage, police said.

The child tumbled down an elevator used to carry vehicles between floors at the garage shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday, a source told PIX11 News. It happened at a parking garage located at 841 Union St. in the Park Slop section of the borough.

The boy, whose name has not been released, was taken to a hospital where he later died.
