ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – Authorities are looking a ski-mask wearing man who stabbed three teens at a Long Island park Tuesday afternoon.

Nassau County police said three 19-year-old boys were playing basketball at Morgan Days Park around 6:30 p.m. when they were approached by bald man in his 20s, about 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall. He also had sleeve type tattoos both arms, police said.

As he walked up to one of the teenagers and put on a ski mask, he tried to hit the victim with his fist and a fight ensued. While the other victims came to his defense, the individual pulled out a black and silver-colored knife and attacked the victims with it, police said.

The assailant then fled on foot southbound toward a parking lot.

All the victims were taken to an area hospital for treatment of their non-life threatening injuries.

The crime scene is less than two miles away from a stabbing at a West Hempstead park where three teens were injured Monday. Officials do not believe the two stabbings are related.

Detectives ask anyone with information to come forward and call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
