DJ Calvin Harris injured in Los Angeles car crash

STUDIO CITY, Calif. — DJ Calvin Harris is recovering after he was injured in a head-on collision in Studio City, police confirmed Saturday morning.

According to KTLA, the two-car crash happened around 11 p.m., Friday.

Police say the driver of a Volkswagen Beetle crossed over the divider, hitting an SUV carrying the 32-year-old DJ.

A passenger from the Beetle was ejected from the car and sustained a broken pelvis.

Harris was transported to an area hospital with an injury to the face.

The musician was on his way to the airport for a performance at Omnia nightclub in Las Vegas when the collision occurred.

As a result of the crash, Harris will not be performing at Omnia Saturday night, a statement to his Facebook read Saturday.

Harris has been examined by his doctor and is on bed rest for a few days.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
