NEW YORK — New York Knicks will hired Jeff Hornacek as their head coach, according to Bleacher Report.

ESPN reporter Ian Begley also confirmed the report on Wednesday. Hornacek, 53, will replace Kurt Rambis, who was the interim coach for the Knicks last season. Hornacek was the fourth known candidate the team was interviewing for the job.

David Blatt and Frank Vogel were also among the people being considered for the position. Reports surfaced earlier in the week that Hornacek was being interviewed.

Hornacek had 101-112 record in three seasons with the Suns before being fired in February.

The former Phoenix Suns coach will lead the team following New York’s third straight losing season.

The Knicks ended last season 32-50 and finished 13th out of 15 teams in the Eastern Conference.
