Surveillance video captures man striking victim with glass bottle in Williamsbridge: NYPD

WILLIAMSBRIDGE, the Bronx - Police released surveillance video Tuesday of a man being sought for attacking a victim and hitting him over the head with a glass bottle.

The 56-year-old victim engaged in a verbal altercation with a man in front of 938 East 215 St. around 1:25 a.m. Sunday when the incident occurred, the NYPD stated in a news release.

The unknown man then assaulted the victim, striking him over the head with a glass bottle.

The victim suffered a laceration to the top of his head and was treated at Jacobi Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The attacker, seen in surveillance video released by police, was described as black male, about 21 to 28 years old, standing at 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a slender build.
