Queens man with schizophrenia reported missing following release from jail: police

FAR ROCKAWAY, Queens – A 59-year-old man with a history of schizophrenia has gone missing after being released from Queens Criminal Court, police said Sunday.

Nigel Davis was arrested for having an open container and then released on Saturday, according to the NYPD.

His Far Rockaway group home did not know he was released and are now looking for him. Police said he is off his medication.

Davis is about 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds with a medium build, medium complexion, black hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing a blue sweater, blue jeans and white sneakers.
