MANHATTAN BEACH, Brooklyn — Various NYC emergency responders participated in an active shooter drill in Brooklyn Sunday.

It was held at Goldstein High School in Manhattan Beach.

The drill is a simulation of a shooting on a school campus complete with gunfire and "casualties" in an effort for local emergency responders to practice their response for a real active shooter situation.

The drill, which is coordinated by the NYPD, FDNY, Homeland Security and the Office of Emergency Management, brings together multiple NYC emergency response units, including the Emergency Services Unit, the Strategic Response Group, and the Critical Response Command.
