Man robs livery cab driver in Woodhaven: NYPD

WOODHAVEN, Queens — Police are searching for a man they say robbed a livery cab driver in Queens early Wednesday morning.

The incident happened around 3:30 a.m. when the suspect got into a cab that was parked in front of 94-10 Jamaica Ave., in Woodhaven.

The suspect demanded that he be driven to 105th Street and 91st Avenue in Richmond Hill. He then allegedly demanded that the driver give him her property.

After a struggle, the suspect made off with her cellphone, tablet and an undetermined amount of cash.

No injuries or weapons were reported as a result of the incident.

Surveillance video from inside the cab shows the suspect who is described as being in his 50s, approximately 5-foot-11 and weighing between 180 and 200 pounds.
