2 men break in, assault and rob guests at Brooklyn Howard Johnson: police

BROWNSVILLE, Brooklyn — Police are looking for two men who they say broke into a hotel room, assaulted the guests and robbed them.

On Saturday at 8:30 p.m., a 35-year-old man, 38-year-old man, and 38-year-old woman were staying at a Howard Johnson hotel at 524 Rockaway Avenue.

Two suspects came into the room, took out a silver gun and one suspect struck one of the victims in the head, causing a laceration, police said.

The suspects took a Galaxy smartphone, LG cellphone and an unknown amount of money, then fled, police said.

Police say the suspects are two black men with dark complexion, dark hair and were last seen wearing black jeans and black vests.
