Video released of suspect wanted in knifepoint livery cab robbery

MIDTOWN, Manhattan — Police are searching for a man who robbed a livery cab driver at knifepoint.

On April 3 at 4:30 a.m., a yellow cab was stopped at a red light at E. 42nd Street and 5th Avenue, police said.

The suspect, who was sitting in the passenger's seat, put a knife to the 53-year-old driver's hip and demanded money, police said. The suspect fled with $300 in cash and an iPhone.

Police say the suspect is a Hispanic man, approximately 5 foot 8 inches tall and weighs 180-190s pounds.
