MOTT HAVEN, The Bronx — Police are looking for the woman responsible for grabbing and punching a straphanger in the face on a subway platform.

Last Friday at 7:10 a.m., a 34-year-old woman was boarding a southbound 5 train at Third Avenue – 149th Street Subway station when the suspect approached her from behind, grabbed her and punched her in the face, police said.

They bumped into each other and the suspect attacked, police sources said.

The suspect then fled on the southbound 5 train.

The victim refused medical attention at the scene.
