Man, 45, shot and killed inside hallway of Brooklyn apartment building

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, Brooklyn – A man is now dead after getting shot in the hallway inside the Gates Patchen development complex.

The NYPD said officers responded to a call of an assault inside 940 Gates Avenue in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn minutes before 3 p.m. Thursday.

Upon arrival, police found a 45-year-old man in the hallway of the location after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds to his body, according to the NYPD.

EMS took the victim to Woodhull Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

The name of the slain victim is pending family notification.
