NEW YORK — Jacob deGrom has been placed on the MLB's family emergency list following a medical emergency with his newborn son.

The starting pitcher has been playing for the Mets since 2014. He and his wife, Stacey, just welcomed their first son into the world Monday.

The baby suffered some medical "complications," a Mets representative said.

DeGrom will be staying with his son and his wife as she recovers from her C-section birth.

There is no word on the condition of the infant.

DeGrom won't be attending the Mets game in Cleveland today.
