Man reported missing found dead in wooded area of Suffolk County

MIDDLE ISLAND, N.Y. — A Medford man who was reported missing last week was found fatally shot in a wooded area of Middle Island Saturday afternoon.

A woman was walking her dog around 2:45 p.m. on a path behind the former Kmart store, at 1075 Middle Country Road, when she discovered the body of a man who was apparently shot to death.

The man was later identified as 26-year-old Alexander P. Incorvia, a resident at the Comfort Inn, located at 2695 Route 112, Medford, who had been reported missing on Thursday, March 31, 2016.

He was last seen leaving his residence Tuesday, March 29.

Incorvia’s body was transported to the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner where an autopsy will be performed.

The investigation is continuing.
