Man wearing black cap, armed with knife robs Bronx cell phone store: NYPD

THE BRONX — A man is wanted for threatening a salesperson with a knife and stealing over $600 worth of cash and goods from a Metro PCS in the Bronx, police said.

The thief, wearing a black cap, walked into the cell phone store on Jerome Avenue on Wednesday around 4 p.m., according to police. He held a knife by his side and waited for a few minutes before going around the counter and threatening the salesperson.

The thief stole $561 from the cash register, one LG and two Galaxy cellphones, police said.

He's described as a man with brown eyes around 5-feet-6-inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He was also wearing a long sleeve red shirt with a black T-shirt over.
