The announcement was going to be huge.

Comedian Jimmy Kimmel pulled a prank on voters Thursday night after airing a fake Donald Trump announcement saying his presidential run was an April Fools’ Day joke all along.

“April Fools’, America,” the GOP candidate apparently said. “I’m not really running for president. It was a joke.”

Kimmel introduced the video as a “bombshell revelation” that could make you “question everything you know about the state of American politics.”

The announcement cuts off to a compilation of different clips, where Trump is heard reflecting on his campaign.

The YouTube video has been viewed more than 20,000 as of Friday afternoon.
