FDNY brings high-rise fire in Harlem under control

HARLEM — FDNY battled a fire at a residential building at 1980 Park Avenue in Harlem West Friday afternoon.

The fire originated on the 8th floor of the 14-story building.

Just before 3 p.m., FDNY brought the fire under control.

A woman injured herself while going down the stairs, but is expected to recover.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
