Police search for woman who allegedly stole car from Staten Island shopping center

HEARTLAND VILLAGE, Staten Island — Police are searching for a woman who allegedly stole a car from a Staten Island shopping center.

The incident happened March 3 in a shopping center located at 2845 Richmond Ave., in the Heartland Village section of the borough.

Police say a 70-year-old woman parked her grey 2005 Infiniti G sedan around 5:30 p.m. When she returned an hour later, she noticed her car was not there.

Around the same time, a woman was seen getting out of another car and allegedly leaving the parking lot in the victim’s car.

Police have released photos of a woman wanted in connection with the incident.
