NYPD launches Operation Cutting Edge to crackdown on slashings and stabbings

The NYPD launched Operation Cutting Edge, a plan to fight against the increase of slashings and stabbing happening in the city. The attacks have increased from 750 in 2015 to 917 in 2016.

Operation Cutting Edge will increase police presence in select areas of the city. Former NYPD detective Dr. Darrin Porcher talked about the increase in slashings and what the plan proposes.
