3rd victim in Elmhurst house fire dies

ELMHURST, Queens – The third man who was hurt in a house fire in Elmhurst has been pronounced dead Tuesday.

Authorities responded to a call of a residential fire a two-story home on Ithaca Street late Monday night and found three men inside in unresponsive and unconscious conditions.

The victims were transported to area hospitals, where 53-year-old Craig Lott and 71-year-old Martin Devereux died on arrival.

The last victim, who has not been identified, was hospitalized in critical condition but was later pronounced deceased.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
