EAST ELMHURST, Queens – Police are looking for three men who shot and robbed a 26-year-old man early Sunday morning.

The assault happened in the vicinity of 96-10 31st Ave. in East Elmhurst at approximately 4:30 a.m., police said.

The NYPD said the individuals walked up to the victim and took his chain. During their robbery, one of the men discharged his gun twice, striking the victim in his abdomen and shoulder.

Paramedics arrived and took him to a local hospital where he is currently in critical but stable condition.

One of the alleged thieves was described to be about 6 feet tall, police said.
