PROSPECT PARK SOUTH, Brooklyn — A slasher hiding behind the Star-Spangled Banner attacked a woman as she walked in Brooklyn Thursday morning, police said.
It happened at Beverley and Rugby roads in Prospect Park South. The victim's injuries are not considered life-threatening, police said.
The attacker was wearing a black sweatshirt and a U.S. flag over his face, police said. No arrests have been made.
It's the latest in a spate of similar slashings that have occurred throughout the city during the past few months.
