Police searching for suspect in Bed-Stuy shooting

NEW YORK — Police are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with a brazen shooting in Brooklyn Monday night.

Police say a 25-year-old man was standing near his apartment building on Howard Avenue Monday night in Bedford-Stuyvesant when the suspect approached him. The suspect then displayed a gun and began firing.

The victim tried to escape but a police source said the suspect chased the victim and continued to shoot before getting into a car and taking off.

The victim suffered several gunshot wounds to his torso and left leg. He's in stable condition at a hospital.
