THE BRONX — Residents of a two-family home were evacuated after the neighboring vacant building collapsed in the Bronx Wednesday night.

The vacant building between East 183 Street and Beaumont Avenue collapsed around 10 p.m. It was previously damaged by a fire, FDNY sources said.

Officials searched the area for possible squatters. There were no missing people reported.

Residents of the two-family home located next to the collapsed building were evacuated due to structural safety concerns.

It is unclear if the collapse is weather related.
