WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. —  A KinderCare teacher was arrested Tuesday for allegedly abusing four children she was taking care of, Bergen County prosecutors said.

Police launched an investigation in January after witnesses reported seeing Shara Goldstein, 28, a teacher at the KinderCare Learning Center in Woodcliff Lake, abusing four children under the age of 2.

Witnesses said they saw Goldstein pushing the children to the floor, throwing objects and dropping them on multiple occasions last December, according to officials.

After an investigation, Goldstein was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and child abuse.

She is currently being held at Bergen County jail.

Goldstein is due back in court on Wednesday.
