Arrest made after teen fatally shot in the head in East New York

EAST NEW YORK, Brooklyn — A 15-year-old has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of another teen in East New York late Thursday night.

The suspect, who has not been identified, is charged with manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.

Police responded to a 911 call around 9:40 p.m. of a shooting at 703 Miller Ave. in East New York, police said.

A 16-year-old boy was shot in the head when they arrived the scene. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

He has been identified as Denzil Nash, 16, of Marcus Garvey Boulevard, Brooklyn.

The incident is still under investigation.
