Two arrested in connection to East Village stabbing

EAST VILLAGE, Manhattan -- Two suspects have been arrested in connection to an attempted murder in the East Village.

On Friday at 4:40 a.m., Police say Philip Daniel and Emmanuel Rodman approached the victim in front of 311 East 9th St. and stabbed him several times in the back.

The victim, 49, was taken to Bellevue to be treated and was released.

Both Daniel, 24, and Rodman, 23, were arrested Wednesday and charged with attempted murder and assault.
