JACKSON HEIGHTS, Queens – A 19-year-old jogger was apparently cut by a man who ran past her and slashed her with an unknown, sharp object in Queens over the weekend, police said.

It happened about 11:15 a.m. Sunday near 79th Street and 25th Avenue, police said.

The teen was running west on 79th Street when she spotted a man running toward her on the same sidewalk, police said.

The pair bumped into each other and a few moments later, the woman felt a sensation in her leg. When she looked down, she saw she was bleeding and went to a hospital for treatment.

It’s unclear what weapon injured the woman.

Few details about the attacker were released. No arrests have been made.
