MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. — A Florida woman has been arrested for allegedly trying to make off with thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and clothes.

Police say she stole $2,100 worth of merchandise from several stores at the Silver Sands Outlets.

At 2 p.m. Friday, an employee at the Ann Taylor store found security tags that had been removed from clothes inside the dressing room, along with Brooke Amber Sutton’s cellphone.

According to an arrest report obtained by the Hornell Daily Tribune, there was also a puddle of urine inside the dressing room.

A Walton County Sheriff’s Office officer used the cellphone to contact the 27-year-old suspect’s husband and was able to determine what car she was driving.

The officer found Sutton’s car in the parking lot. Inside, six designer jeans worth more than $1,000 stolen from Saks Fifth Avenue were recovered. About $1,100 worth of jewelry and clothing from Ann Taylor was also found.

Sutton was arrested and charged with felony retail theft and is being held at the Walton County Jail.

She made bond Saturday in the amount of $5,000 and is awaiting trial.
