NEW YORK—It has been a long week for LIRR riders.

By Thursday evening, commuters were extra tired and wanted to get home on the Long Island Rail Road.

A signal problem led to delayed and cancelled trains for the rush hour, and LIRR crews were sent to make repairs at Penn Station. Delays were averaging about fifteen minutes into the evening.

A stalled train also slowed things down earlier in the week and riders are hoping the snow will not be a problem for their morning commute on Friday.
