SHEEPSHEAD BAY, Brooklyn – Police arrested the older friend of a 15-year-old girl accused of murdering her mother and her mother’s boyfriend in their Sheepshead Bay apartment.

Jerry Maisonett, 28, of Brooklyn, faces two counts of murder and four weapons charges in connection with the Dec. 28 double homicide on Batchelder Street.

Police believe Maisonett helped a 15-year-old kill her own mother, Rosie Sanchez, 39, and Sanchez’s boyfriend, 40-year-old Anderson Nunez.

The girl, who lived in the Sheepshead Bay apartment with the couple, has since confessed to shooting her mother and stabbing and shooting Nunez.  After allegedly killing Garcia and Sanchez, the pair left the bodies to rot –Sanchez slumped in a living room chair and Nunez lying on the floor, according to police.

Days after the grisly crime, investigators say the two even went to Times Square to party on New Year's Eve while the two bodies decomposed inside the Brooklyn apartment.

The 15-year-old suspect has also been charged with two counts of murder and two counts of weapons possession.

A police investigation is ongoing.
