New initiatives, including help from the Guardian Angels, to combat subway violence

With a total of seven subway slashings over the last month, straphangers are concerned about their safety on subway trains and platforms.

Police Commissioner Bill Bratton has warned commuters, but the NYPD will be getting some help from their old friends, the Guardian Angels, who last patrolled trains the in 1994.
