TARRYTOWN, N.Y. — Students and staff at a Tarrytown school were evacuated after construction equipment hit a gas line at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

The superintendent’s office of the Tarrytown School district says a backhoe hit the gas line, but the leak has since been stopped.
