HOBOKEN, New Jersey —It was a short walk home, one he had done many times, but a young man never made it after leaving a Hoboken pub during Saturday’s blizzard, according to police.

Matthew Genovese, 24, was hanging out with three friends at McSwiggan’s Pub at 110 First St. when he left between 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.

Genovese’s home is just a 10-minute walk from the bar, and his friends say he did it regularly.  Genovese was last seen wearing a gray Fordham T-shirt with Maroon text beneath a red/orange/gray flannel, tan khaki pants and tan Timberland boots.

He’s 5 feet 3 inches tall, 150 pounds with black, short hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call Hoboken Police at 201-420-2100.
