NEW YORK -- A man is being questioned in connection with an attack on a 71-year-old woman in NoHo Monday, police say.

Police say the victim was sitting on the southbound D train approaching the Broadway-Lafayette Street station when an unknown man got out of his seat and slashed her face.

The woman, who identified herself only as Carmen, has a four-inch gash on her left check.

Just hours earlier, Carmen spoke to PIX11 and said she forgives the razor-wielding young man, and then urged him to turn himself in.
