JAMAICA, Queens — A wayward cow was wrangled in a parking garage in Queens Thursday, police said.

The bovine escapee ran for its life from a slaughterhouse in Jamaica, bolting across the street and into Jamaica First Parking, witnesses said. He made it about 30 yards away from the slaughterhouse before he was captured.

Police said no officers were hurt in the process. It took about 10 minutes to wrangle the animal, but it was long enough to create an unusual scene in the busy metropolitan neighborhood.
