THE BRONX — A 12-year-old boy has turned himself in to police after he was allegedly caught on camera hurling a glass bottle at a city bus driver's head, police said Thursday.

The child faces a charge of assault in connection with the Oct. 20 attack, police said.

Video was released earlier this week of a boy who looked no older than 13 throwing a glass bottle through the door of an MTA bus as it picked up passengers at Home Street and Prospect Avenue in the Bronx.

The bottle struck the driver in the face, inflicting a minor injury to his left eye, police said. The driver was taken to a hospital, treated and released.
