NEW YORK — The most prestigious dog show on the planet is bringing on more competition to the world’s most famous arena.

For the first time in a long time, seven new breeds will get the chance to compete at the annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show next month.

Those furry additions made their debut Thursday at Madison Square Garden.

Although new to Westminster, they’re veterans in the dog world.

The new breeds include the Berger Picard, the Boerboel, the Cirneco Dell Etna, the Lagotto Romagnolo, the Miniature American Shepherd, the Spanish Water Dog and a personal favorite the Bergamasco that rocks dreadlocks like no one else could.

The new breeds will get their chance to shine on February 15-16 when the Westminster Dog Show invades Madison Square Garden.
