EAST VILLAGE — A 30-year-old man was slashed in the face and back by a stranger while walking in the East Village Saturday, police said.

The victim told police he was walking in front of 208 East 6th St around 4:30 p.m. when an Asian man came up screaming expletives as he knocked him to the ground.

When the man got up, he touched his face and noticed a large laceration to the right side of his face and a small laceration to his back, police said.

The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital and treated for his injuries. The suspect is approximately 20-30 years old, 5’6” and 150 pounds, police said.​
