RAHWAY, N.J. – The jackpot for tonight's Powerball drawing is now up to a whopping $1.5 billion, with a cash value of $930 million.
The jackpot has continued to climb after no one matched all six winning numbers in Saturday night's drawing.
Ticket sales were brisk before Saturday's $949.8 million drawing, and the interest has only growing since then in the 44 participating states, as well as the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
Tickets are going like hot potatoes. After the jackpot started at $40 million on November 4, it's now at $1.5 billion – the world's largest ever.
It can't even fit on the Powerball sign.
While it would be nice to win, the odds of matching all six numbers to win the jackpot are one in 292.2 million.
