Two men accused of beating, raping woman in Washington Heights park

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, Manhattan — Police are searching for two men they say assaulted and raped a woman in a Washington Heights park.

The NYPD reports the woman, 33, met the suspects in the vicinity of 179th Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue last month. She then walked with them into Highbridge Park near Amsterdam Avenue and 177th Street.

Once the three were in the park, the two men allegedly raped and physically assaulted her.

The victim was taken to an area hospital with facial trauma and a laceration to the back of her head. She was treated and released.
