18-year-old killed, 17-year-old injured in East New York shooting

EAST NEW YORK, Brooklyn — One teen was killed and another teen was injured in a shooting in East New York Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting happened around 3 p.m., in the area of Pennsylvania Avenue and Riverdale Avenue.

The teens were rushed to Brookdale Hospital where the 18-year-old was pronounced dead after being shot in the head.

The 17-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to his right arm. He is listed in stable condition, police say.

Three people were taken into custody. Police say a weapon was recovered.
