One dead, 1 injured in shooting at Brooklyn public housing complex

RED HOOK, Brooklyn – Police say one man is dead, another is wounded after a shooting at the Red Hook Houses in Brooklyn late Sunday.

The New York Police Department says officers responded to a call of man shot inside 450 Columbia Street about 10:10 p.m.

Upon arrival, they found a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his torso at a 1st floor apartment. He was taken to Methodist Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Shortly after, cops discovered a second victim, a 33-year-old man, with gunshot wounds to his torso. The victim was pronounced dead at an area hospital.

NYPD officers found two guns inside the lobby of 458 Columbia Street.

There are no arrests at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
