KINGSBRIDGE, Bronx – Police released surveillance footage late Monday of a homeless man they believe mortally stabbed a popular McDonald's manager in the parking lot of the fast-food restaurant.

The New York Police Department says 28-year-old Adam Garcia was trying to escort the disturbed individual out of the venue on Broadway when the vagrant suddenly turned on him, allegedly stabbing him multiple times in the chest early Monday morning.

Garcia, the father of a young boy, was taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

"This man's making a dollar for his family and he gets killed at work," said Garcia's childhood friend, Amin Gomez.
