1 dead, 1 hurt after BMW driver slams into parked cars in the Bronx

WILLIAMSBRIDGE, Bronx – One person is dead and another hurt after a driver slammed into multiple parked cars along a Bronx street Monday morning.

Ricardo Gayle, 31, was driving a 2004 BMW near Bronxwood Avenue and E 222nd Street in Williamsbridge after 5:30 a.m. when he crossed into the oncoming lane and slammed into four parked vehicles, according to police.

Paramedics rushed Gayle and his passenger, a 23-year-old female, to Montefiore Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  The female victim suffered a head injury and is in stable condition.


The NYPD Collision Investigation Squad is investigating the crash.
