2 injured after Access-A-Ride van crashes into scaffold on Upper East Side

UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan — Two people were injured when a scaffold came crashing down from a building on the Upper East Side Monday evening.

Officials say around around 6:40 p.m., an Access-A-Ride van crashed into the scaffold of a building  on E. 70th Street near York Avenue.

The Department of Buildings is on the scene with the NYPD.

The victims were taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
