First reported NYC shooting of 2016 leaves man wounded in Brooklyn

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, Brooklyn – The first reported shooting in 2016 left a man hospitalized in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn.

Cops say they received a call of shooting shortly after midnight at 730 Herkimier St.

The victim, a 33-year-old man, was shot to the neck, police say, but the injuries are considered non-life threatening.

Police have no suspects and the incident is under investigation.
